Happy Tuesday Beauts!!!

I hope you all are feeling well rested at least a morsel of a bit 

after the holiday weekend.

What did I do?

Sleep and boy was it great!

I slipped in a leeeeetle bit of work, added some dope newbies to the shoppe, but mostly just lounged around the pool, house, mum's pad and snuggled with the hubs at the Taco Mac over a 

saucy basket of wings.

So after lounging in weekend wear, staring at the closet for 30 minutes looking for a magic outfit, is probably what your morning looked like.

My solution to uninspiring mornings 100% of the time is color.

Most drift over to the dark side & pull the black-on-black-on black number, but I've found that the more color you shellack on the better and is an instant mood lifter.

Pairing Bright Coral and Cobalt has been in heavy rotation on 

style boards and I love it. To add even more of a dash, chartreuse-y flowers and a gold metal hair clip come along for the ride.

The Key is, "The Hone In", to help balance out all the brightness going on.

In my case, it is usually a gold belt. 

(I have 4 that are always in regular rotation)

So, grab your cup of tea or coffee and start your morning on a 

brighter and color drenched note.

A little while ago the lovely gals of Rue Magazine contacted me to be apart of the Styld.by campaign for Gap, their new online catalog featuring real bloggers incorporating Gap pieces into their wardrobe. 

But the magic grew bigger.

I was told that we would be photographed by the ridiculously amazing team from

Our Labor of Love

creators of the Smilebooth and streams of tear-jerker wedding photos.

AND

  my dear friend Ginny Branch Stelling and Amy Osaba & team would be styling the

shoot!

 

I leapt at the chance to wear these rosy colored legging jeans and

brightly printed wedges.  

These fell perfectly in line with my vow to infuse vivid colors into my wardrobe. 

Pairing them with a billowy blouse

and bold jewelry makes the perfect statement for Summer.

Who would have thought that my 2012 resolution to dig myself out of the "greige" pit would lead me to fall into the Gap! Literally!

The Sandlot is one of my favorite childhood movies of all time!

I am constantly quoting it.

One of the best (and most refreshing) scenes is when they go to the pool to see 

The pooooool hoooooneeeeys!!

The swimwear featured is perfection.   You can feel the coolness of the water through the television and the touches of red on the lip, nails and toe take the cake. 

Atlanta has been pretty hot for spring these past couple of weeks, but we have since had a cool down. 

I have been wanting to hit the pool already and it's not nearly 

as hot as it will be com Summer.

But now is the time to gather up those poolside lovelies that will definitely take you to Wendy Peffercorn status that Squints would surely swoon over.
