I hope you all have had yourselves a wonderful week.

For me it has been steady.

Working on new items to put into the shoppe and pitch. 

Now that the holidays are over and Chloe is back in school, I have some 

time to work in between Levi's naps.

I finally have my energy back. So I can finally 

proceed to dream domination.

I don't have much planned for the weekend, aside from taking down our 

decorations and eating some great food and 

binging on movies with my husband.

This week has been chock full of motivation.

 It was pouring in from all 

directions it seemed.

Like:

The kid who was taken out of school and hacked the education system

Bri's creative mornings talk 

 This quote

The 3rd grader that changed my diet and increase my grocery bill

42 pieces of advice, including my own 

my hubsband and I love having this on in the background as we work

Hope you find something to fuel you this weekend if you are having to 

work, but if not, take a nap. Hell, take two if you need it or have the 

time.  A well rested mind is more fruitful than a burnt out one.

(my inner southerner just escaped...reeling her in a bit) 

Sorry that I haven't been so sparse here. 

I have been prepping for I.C.E and mainly trying to stay awake

from being so tired lately. 

Hopefully the next  couple of weeks after the show will be a little better and easier

for me to take on.

2012 and bringing Southern creatives together to help us figure out how to 

become better vessels.  Classes have just been posted and more are to come, as this is suppose to extend throughout the year. Go give it a look see!

As for this weekend...
it's my 2 year anniversary. Married folk out there know 
EVERY year you make is a year to celebrate. 
Not sure what we will do (not because it's a surprise, 
but because it's been so crazy that we haven't had a moment plan properly. ) 
We will probably do something for our July anniversary. Yeah we have 2 dates...
As for the ride, it's fun, yet bumpy.
 It's not an easy show, to say the least, but honestly the great out weighs the sour.
To the hitched newbie readers hang in there... and just know that 
with every hiccup, you are not alone. By far.
Even if your other married friends put on the gloss of pure bliss,
 just know they too have a chipped surface too. 


I hope you all have an amazing weekend. Soak up some sun (slather on the SPF 
I totally got splotchy last weekend because I forgot)
Eat some great food...that you normally aren't supposed to eat.
and if its summer where you are, blast the hell out of your car radio with the windows down.

Hey Beauts! 

I hope you all have had a fantastic week. 

This is my way of sending you all a smile, since I am refusing all selfie 

shots on IG for a bit... trust me, I'm doing you a huge favor.

Me, well, I have been asleep for the majority of it. 

Sick with whatever my mini cough onto me. 

(but I won't blame the gal, she knows no better while sneezing half asleep at 3am)

Today, I pried myself out of bed, threw myself into the shower and landed 

on the sofa. Remember people: Progress is a slow process. 

 Another process that is taking a while to develop: 

figuring out what I am going to do with my days.

Yup I am still ticking strong with (r-ki-tekt)

but, figuring out my own schedule can be overwhelming difficult, and glorious all 

at once. 

I am taking some much needed advice, but I have been doing way too 

much "figuring out" and not enough doing. 

Do you freelancers/work-at-homers/figuring-it-out-ers have that dilemma too?

(please tell me I'm not the only one!!!)

Any whoooo, I fully intend to start organizing myself

into a real indie/freelancers state of mind. 

As soon as I can take these crazy unattractive tissue nose

plugs out of my nostrils.

My patience is wearing quite thin with winter. 

I am feeling a bit cabin feverish, but trapped in sweaters and my coat

as opposed to a house. Ready for skirts, sans tights and warmth of 

the sun. I guess I am looking for the cusp Spring and Summer.

Not quite the air that is pollen-wasted, nor sweltering. 

So let's all take a sec to imagine diving into that pool above....

ahhhhh 

Ok, now for the meat and potatoes....

I have HUGE hugs to send out this week to quite a few

lovelies. 

First up, many thanks to Style Blueprint of Atlanta for featuring me 

in there Faces of Atlanta column. I am beyond flattered to even be considered

and recognized. 

A handful of yesness landed in Stephanie's amazingly curated shop, 

Baba Souk. I'm so happy to have them cozying up next 

to other amazing artists. 

I'm putting together an entire posse of cool kids...

No Seriously. It's like a wooden daycare facility confined to my work table.

I loved how Gina of Hello There Home wore the Royal Flush Bobbi Pin. 

They are sold out, but these are just as schnazzy!

Learning the fate of Disney Princesses has never been more 
hilarious. Go ahead and ensue in some laughter and 
amazement.

 I love a good color crush!

Stephanie's swooning for navy & coral for Spring and Liyla fits the bill  

Punky Brewster was my sh-ero back in the day...

She still has an influence on me now. I just can't shake it. 

I am so excited for this weekend! 

I will be attending this seminar and topping it off with

a much needed update-lunch date with my girls.

It's kind of shows exactly how I have been feeling for the past 2 weeks. 

Which explains the sparse posts. 

Overwhelmed with work, whilst trying my best to remain a somewhat fabulous

version of myself---so throwing on socks and tights have become a standard. 

No, but in all seriousness, life's been busy and i am trying my best to find the calm

and the happiness in the midst of it all. 

My dose of happiness this week

 was attending an event and seeing good friends and meeting 

new and very inspiring ones.

I guess all of this is to knead me into something better. In fact, I know it is. 

It's just accepting the tasks and doing them with a pleasant disposition. 

If I'm light over here, don't think I've abandoned this world totally. 

This blog is a major priority of mine, but so is eating and rent. 

(you get it, I'm sure). 

I hope you are going into the weekend with plans of rebooting, relaxing, and laughing!

Happy Friday Everyone! 

I Hope you have greatness planned for this weekend.  

Even if it is just staying in and catching up on your shows you missed during the week.

But maybe your planning an outing with the beau or gals.

So, if you are at all like me you are busy, 
on an budget, and in love.

Three things that don't compliment each other at all, 
but seem to always be a mainstay. 

The Hub and I are always looking for opportunities 
for some alone and adult time

(not the frisky kind, just the swanky kind without kiddy shows blaring in the background)

I am not the type to shop for myself all the time, even though I would LOVE to.

 Time is usually a major factor and so are expenses.

But when I do get the chance to indulge, I like to purchase pieces that are not only flattering 

to my curves, but to the rest of my wardrobe.  

I hate it when I splurge on a 1-wear piece---
You know that pattern skirt that 

goes with absolutely nothing else in your closet. Yup.... That!

I tend to purchase pieces that compliment my work life, 
but never my love life.

Leaving me in a frump when it comes to dressing 
for an impromptu date night.

That is why I decided to focus on these pants. 

They are such a great foundation piece for the 
transitioning season. 

Nice slim cropped fit paired with a great 
Autumn color that can work 

with a variety of hues and occasions.

These outfits would be perfect for

  running around the office during line review season or maybe an 

evening stroll through the High Museum of Art.

We made it through the meetings, the bills, the traffic, the sucky cafe lunch
and now we will have 2 WHOLE days off.
I seeeeeriously love weekends.
They are usually are work days for me, but i love refueling through designing for myself
and getting all the cooped up ideas out.
I like to call this creative regurgitation.

One lovely lady that i have grown to enjoy is Emma of
Emmadime Knitted.
Her pieces make we wish every day was Seattle-y-----
rainy enough to cozy up on the sofa with the hun and hot cocoa.
I discovered her lookbook and must say booooy is it just as
cozy and perfect as her knit pieces.
