SPRING SOCIAL EVENT

Pin It Now!

Last week I attended an event hosted at West Elm
and their wave of the magic wand.

West Elm is reintroducing their paper flowers for the Spring
so Amy & Ginny figured out a lovely little way to
create keepsakes from these already beautiful forever fancies.

And you wouldn't believe the greatness that could come
from the most basic of materials...
All anything needs is a squint of the eye and some love.
Using some white ink (and the most delicate flick of the wrist), adding the
the flower species name makes it a little less
Pinterest craft party and more artisanal.
They even suggested placing the flowers in the glass boxes,
which would be the perfect topper for your stack of interior books or
end table.

Definitely mosey on down to West Elm for your dose of pretty!

Cheers!---Kel

HAPPY MATRI-MONDAY

Pin It Now!
Hiya!
So last week I told you about my talented friends creating bridal bliss.
In that post I referenced Ms. Ginny, another dear friend of mine from SCAD.
Well, Ginny is a "maker", stylist, beautifier, & lover of love extraordinare!
If you haven't seen the magic she has created,
just google her name and begin scrolling.  The lady is brilliant.
She also styled my Gap Styld.by shoot and this one too!
Well, this week if you are up for a pit stop to smell the roses (or rananculus)
and a little meet and greet, Ginny and Amy
(as in AmyOsaba---floral genius and master!!!!!)
will be at West Elm Atlantic Station servin up the doses of lovely!!!

If you are looking for some inspiration for your Spring/Summer nuptials,
this would be a great place to start and maybe even meet your future
event and floral stylists. (elbow nudge and a wink)
I'll be there taking it all in too and would love to see new faces.
If your planning on being there, hit me up on twitter.

Happy Monday Beauts!!!!

HAPPY MATRI-MONDAY

Pin It Now!
I was fortunate enough to attend SCAD and
develop great friendships with a collection of talented artists and designers.
There were 2 handfuls of us that would stay locked up in the building working on
yesness...feeding off of each other.
Having random dance parties to Michael Jackson, eating tons of cupcakes and
sipping wine, cursing out broken "lucky" Juki's.
It was great.
One of the ladies that I would hug now if I could is Chelsea Rose Cook
who now has a collection of matrimony pretties that will make your knees weak.

There are quite a few weddings that she has lent her talents to,
including the wedding of her senior year partner in
crime Ginny Branch Stelling (top 2 photos)
where she created a ruffled bolero that resembled the works of a
French pastry artist, only it was chiffon magic.

For the spunk & wit of Halligan Norris (bottom 2 photos),
Chelsea whipped up the sweetest bit of a dress perfect for her charming
vintage circus themed nuptials.

See more of Chelsea's matrimony magic here and
visit her shop to see tons
of yesness for your upcoming wedding!

Cheers!!---Kel

KING & QUEEN OF POP(SICLES)

Pin It Now!

Happy Friday Y'all!!!

So I told you a few weeks ago that
Le Hub and I were asked to make a little bit a magic
for Atlanta Wedding Magazine and it
has finally launched.
All with the help of who I think of as Atlanta's Fairy Godmother
The photographer Jeremy Harwell is golden
as ever and made it beyond easy to be super cheesy and flirty without looking like some awkward junior high kids.
The schnazzy digs are Annie Griffin and the suit and accessories are Billy Reid
(Doesn't he look handsome as ever?)

I hope all you lovelies have a great weekend.

Bisous,

Kel

STYLD.BY/GAP + RUE

Pin It Now!
A little while ago the lovely gals of Rue Magazine contacted me to be apart of the Styld.by campaign for Gap, their new online catalog featuring real bloggers incorporating Gap pieces into their wardrobe.

But the magic grew bigger.
I was told that we would be photographed by the ridiculously amazing team from
Our Labor of Love
creators of the Smilebooth and streams of tear-jerker wedding photos.
AND
my dear friend Ginny Branch Stelling and Amy Osaba & team would be styling the
shoot!

I leapt at the chance to wear these rosy colored legging jeans and
brightly printed wedges.
These fell perfectly in line with my vow to infuse vivid colors into my wardrobe.
Pairing them with a billowy blouse
and bold jewelry makes the perfect statement for Summer.

Who would have thought that my 2012 resolution to dig myself out of the "greige" pit would lead me to fall into the Gap! Literally!

Bisous,

Kel

sometimes i wish i could
party scape for a living...

Amy Osaba and her team (including Ginny & Erica)
always know how to make me wish i were

there instead of cube-ing it.

This photo of all the white bottles gives me hope that magic can be made
out of the bah-jillion glass bottles, jar and randoms that i have been collecting
over the past 6 months.
Every salsa jar, wine bottle, starbucks frapp bottle is above my cabinets
hoarders style waiting to be stripped and lovely-fied.
since the ceremony/par-tay has been pushed back to June 2012
I have had much time to "collect" props and such that will be used to bring this
show together.
(I am crossing my fingers, toes, and eyes)

now that the date has been pushed back....
a year....
i have time to do fun stuff, like create a pretty moodboards to guide this huge
ship called planning your own wedding.
thanks to BHLDN---(the haven for the Anthro/vintage obsessed kind of folk
who are getting married )
it was super easy and allowed me to see clearly what i do and don't want.
Highly recommend.

And to make the magic happen, i will be working with the lovely
Ginny Branch Stelling
to create a sweet fete.

SN: sorry for the lack of posts this week lovelies. I am in training ALL week for work

and am counting down the days to install internet at the house. can you believe there was a one month wait time??? Mon Dieu!!!

Hope you are all well and lovely as ever!
