LIFE LATELY

Pin It Now!
Hi guys! I hope you all had a relaxing Labor Day.
We didn't do anything too intense.
On Monday, we took Chloe to the Imagine It Children's Museum
and it was great gloomy day fun.
Other than that, we enjoyed some of Atlanta's finest grub from
The Varsity. Yeah, probably not the healthiest choice, but nugget
and I were in heaven.

The other day I ventured across town and bumped into some
great building art.  I live in north Atlanta where everything is fairly "clean" and...beige.
The Suburbs (dun dun duuuunn)
So whenever I stumble upon murals my soul lights up and I
get into tourist mode and snap tons of photos.
Aside from rollin with my main homie, I have been listening more to the mini homie
sprouting in my belly.  i noticed how poorly I ate the past week and went on a
total spree (well, $50 worth, which can't get you far at Fresh Market)
and cleaned up my act a bit with fresh fruits and organic randomness
that'll make me feel better when I binge eat.
Any who, I hope you guys are enjoying your Wednesday that feels a bit
like a Tuesday. (toe touch for short weeks)
Keep up with me and our random shenanigans over here.---Kel

LIFE LATELY

Pin It Now!

1. started eating a bit healthier, but then got side tracked
2. been working on an order that I can't wait to tell you all about.
We're going over the border!!
3. Finally saw Season 1. I'm changing my cable package just so
I can catch/keep up with Season 2.
4. Went to the grocery store on a whim and ran into an awesome
75% off sale. i scooped up the cutest remnants. It was clear another
cute gal had been there to gather up much of the goods. I only paid
$14 for all of this. (3 mascara's SCORE!!)
5. I've been rockin my booties more than I should for a busy work week.
6. Finally organized my closet. By color of course

You can find all of my random frolicking over on instagram.
sorry, but i'm not apart of the vine posse. I'm an android user.
but when it launches....please believe, you will have a
chance to hear the nonsensical musings as
opposed to just reading them. Can't wait!!!

71 FLOORS UP

Pin It Now!
Happy Monday!
I realize that it is a wee bit late for all you on the east coast
but it has been super busy on my end.
This past weekend I celebrated my birthday both with myself, family and my mister.
I was tasked not to do any work the day of. So he sent me to the spa for a lil R & R.
But I didn't stick to that task much because I was prepping for (what I consider my big gift)
my Blogshop bundle for the Atlanta class.
I was so honored to even be considered to be amongst the tons of other
goodies that Angela and Bri gift to the crew. Still beaming....
To close out the hoorah, the hub took me to The Sun Dial.
On the 71st floor of the Westin we got a chance to take in the city in a way that
we have never seen it and how magical and sparkly it was.
Everything looked so simple. So easy.
And beautiful for a change.

We have tossed around the idea of moving.
Where?
Austin...going west somewhere....
I think we are looking for someplace to call our own.
Looking for sidewalks to walk down.
Local restaurants to call "our favorite spot".
A Florist that my husband can visit regularly.
(hint hint)
Food Trucks to test out.
A community for my mini to find friends in.
Just a place we can call home.
Right now, "home" is in Atlanta because my entire family is here.
But I have never felt like this was my true home.
I am from upstate New York (Nyack to be specific), but moved down
to be closer to my mother's sister's family.
That was in fact the best decision ever because I gained sisters and a brother.
But I feel as though I want my family and I to see more and experience
more than what is available here.
Or maybe we just need to go out more and get lost in the city.
or stand 71 floors above the madness and traffic.

WEEKEND INSTA-FOOD

Pin It Now!
Happy Monday!!
Hope you had a great relaxing, or exciting weekend.
Mine was very much filled with food.

Left to Right:
Highland Bakery: Shrimp & Grits with Jalapeno Foccacia (this will change your life)
Co-workers baby shower cupcakes from Gigi's Cupcakes
Highland Bakery pastry window
Fruit from the market washing using this method

Believe it or not, I am trying to eat healthier.
Don't base my regimen on these photos,
it's just that my healthy foods
aren't as photographically interesting as pastries.
But I do have a few recipes on the Menu for the week
that include bright veggies, quinoa, salmon---you know, the favorites of Pinterest.
See some of my on hold recipes on my Food & Drink board

quote discovered here

“Color is life and for me, color is a way of dealing with and touching our emotions, our psyche, and our spiritual being. Some colors are strong, some are soft, – what is important is the specific hue or tint or saturation of each color and how they work together. Color can be used well or poorly but no one should be afraid of color. It is spiritual phenomelogical euphoria. Use color to express yourself. Don’t be afraid of that bright orange chair. Paint your wall lime-green… Color is beautiful"

HAPPY MONDAY

When a woman says, ‘I have nothing to wear!’, what she really means is, ‘There’s nothing here for who I’m supposed to be today.

Oh Happy Monday!!
This tends to be my Monday's weekly.
I totally wish that I had something like this in my closet to
flutter around in.
You know to do things like, get the mail, brunch, grocery shop,
or just lounge around the house and watch
back play of Pretty Little Liars.
(yes i got sucked into the teeny bopper drama)

Oh, by the way
I am finally in sync with the rest of the world and
am on instagram.
(give a lil whoop whoop)
See what mischief I get into during my days in and out of the cube!

Make today great!
Bisous,

Kel
